Overview

This position is to join the Regent Product Development team which focuses on delivering high quality products to our customer base using a fast-paced Agile development model.  The Technical Services Director will participate in the technical implementation and data conversion of multiple SaaS products geared towards the higher education market.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a key shareholder in client relationship and interface during the implementation period; ensure effective communication with project expectations and attend in-person meetings during project delivery.
  • Deliver data integration by implementing shared databases; integrating data shared across legacy, new development builds and packaged environments.
  • Develop system modification specifications, map data, establish interfaces, develop and modify functions, programs, routines and stored procedures to export, transform and load data.
  • Manage end-to-end technology implementation of the input and output data for the Regent software platform.
  • Responsible for the overall management of Technical Services team and its related projects.
  • Create and support standards, processes, procedures and templates necessary to produce the deliverables from the team and to work effectively with the other teams.
  • Track and assess metrics and KPIs on project management and delivery.
  • Generate timely status reports and project summaries for clients and project managers.
  • Execute thorough analysis of client routines, needs and resources to plan and implement complex solutions that include: user interviews; define, analyze and validate data objects; and identify relationships among data objects.

Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science/Engineering or relevant work experience.
  • Accountability to delivery of technical projects through standard methodologies.
  • Manage simultaneous SaaS implementations and support.
  • Intricate knowledge of database design, management and scripting.
  • Solid experience in working in multiple technical platforms to include SQL, SQL Server (SSIS, SSRS), XML, C# and .NET.
  • Experience with standards based SSO frameworks such as SAML is a plus.
  • Possess the ability to recognize perceived issues and implement technical solutions to minimize data integrity issues.
  • Excellent problem solving and critical dynamic thinking skills.
